COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO RAISE AWARENESS OF CANCER IN PEOPLE AND PETS

UPDATED: NEW DATE DUE TO WEATHER

Spring, TX (February 9, 2018) – Local dog lovers, in partnership with The Puppy Up Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that funds cancer research benefiting both pets and people, will be holding the PuppyUp Spring Walk Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Rob Fleming Park Lodge in The Woodlands.

Registration begins at 9:00 am; walk begins at 10:00 am and the event closes at 1:00 pm. Please visit www.puppyupwalk.org/spring or www.puppyup.org to register.

The vendor fair includes vendors/sponsors, music, refreshments by Kona Ice and Planet Churro, and a silent auction that is NOT to be missed. There will also be a memorial wall, dedicated to those people and pets that have lost their battle with cancer and will include those currently fighting this disease.

“Sadly cancer affects one in every three dogs. Of those, over half will unfortunately die of cancer. I want to educate the Houston community on the early warning signs of canine cancer. This local walk helps the foundation bring awareness to our dog community and raises money to fund comparative oncology research” said Kimmey Piper, Spring Walk Organizer.
